From the hospital, with love.
First of all I would like to express my deepest sympathies for Josh, who has gotten sucked in by the work monster. We feel your pain Josh.
The one unique thing about this post is that I’m writing it from a work computer. Usually it takes me a few days on a particular ward to get comfortable enough to use the computers for non-work related stuff, but tonight I’m just tired and need to amuse myself.
Tonight is actually the last night I’m working this week, and I was looking forward to being on Level 7 again, since I’ve been there for the past 3 nights. Unfortunately for me, Roster Office decided to shaft (thanks goes to Steve for the language) me and send me to a different level instead.
After the initial “Gur gur gur…” (Sounds Brian makes when he’s not happy), this ward doesn’t seem so bad. There’s always something to do at the beginning of each hour, but nothing after a quarter past. Although I do miss the hours of chatting that the nurses on 7 and I used to do.
On the plus side the AIN assigned to work here with me is kinda cute. (Although I suppose that if you starve a dog enough he’ll eat anything. On second thought, a dog will eat anything anyway, so comparing me to a dog isn’t really that far from the truth.) Well that was a long aside.
Anyway it’s nearly my breaktime, so I’m off to share muffins with the nurses on Level 7.
Whoppee.
