Now I don’t know about office invading, Siamese sword wielding ninjas, but I know for a fact that dagger 
toting teddy bears are just as deadly. I know it’s not as scary as the image in Chip’s post, but don’t be fooled, beneath Sascha’s fun and furry facade (10 points for alliteration) lies a mind that is all too capable of killing you…with cuteness! And a dagger.
Getting to the point of this post, it seems that I’ve been tagged with my very first meme!
The title of the meme is (wait for it) Three Things You Can’t Let Go. Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I’m going to do what Chip did and divide my three things between a physical, mental and emotional aspect.
- Physical: Speaking literally, once I get a hold of a pillow while I’m sleeping, nothing in the world can take if out of my arms. I go to sleep holding the pillow and I wake up holding the pillow. Never mind the sheets and every other pillow on the bed, they can be on the floor, in the living room or in the back yard, but as long as I’m holding onto the pillow, the world is a safe place.
- Mental: Mental Brian lives in a happy place where he works making pretty website thingies, the ice cream is cheap and the technology is free. Sadly this beautiful world exists only inside Physical Brian’s head. Although this imaginary land isn’t real, the daydreams I have of working in a place where I can be creative are nice. (Being creative does not include writing or anything nursing related)
- Emotional: The most obvious thing for me to type here would be “friends”, but Chip’s post made me think about most of my friendships and at the moment they seem to be mostly friendships of convenience. In some ways I guess it’s true that the only family better than the one you grew up in is the family that you make for yourself. All of my friends are very dear to me, and moving away at the end of the year will be sad, but I guess you can only hope that college friendships stay alive (with a little work of course).
Dammit Chip, the seriousness is infectious. Anyway I guess I’d better get to bed if I want to get up in time for work in 4 hours.
